Abstract |
Point St. Charles is described in this video (circa 1970s) as a notoriously bleak neighbourhood in Montreal. Many if its residents are English-speaking of Irish descent. Many of them are on welfare. It is a district poor in terms of community facilities but still full of contrasts and high spirits -- most of the time. "We don't care about the rest of Canada, we're from Point St. Charles."
