Originally known as the Protestant Hospital for the Insane, the Verdun Protestant Hospital was established in 1881 and opened in 1890. The name was changed in 1923. Today it is part of the Douglas Hospital. This article outlines the financial, medical and administrative running of the hospital in 1936, as well as patient treatment.
