Title
Anglais et français au Québec: d'une relation conflictuelle à une interaction pacifique?
Abstract
The author examines the relationship between the use of the French and English languages in Quebec, and the francization actions carried out by the Office Québécois de la langue française and by Radio Canada. The author argues that the project aimed at reducing the influence of the English language in Quebec has translated into a reflection on the quality of the French language spoken in the province, so much so that English can be considered as a propelling tool for the enrichment of the French language by the effort to correct the use of anglicisms on the lexical, morphological and syntactic levels.
