Abstract |
The author outlines the settlement of Mille Isles, first designated as a seigneury in 1683, and the present town of Mille Isles. The first settlers were French, but after the 1830s, Scots, Scots-Irish and Irish immigrants moved into the area. The author tells the history and genealogy of several of these settlers, down to the twentieth century.
