| Abstract |
The Montreal-based Medical Faculty of the University of Bishop's College, better known simply as Bishop's Medical College, was founded in 1871. It existed for thirty-four years when, in 1905, it merged with the Medical Faculty of McGill University. It was the first university in Quebec to offer a dental course leading to the degree of Doctor of Dental Surgery.
