Adventism in Quebec: The Dynamics of Rural Church Growth, 1830-1910
|
| Abstract |
A study of the precipitous rise and intermittent decline of Sabbatarian Adventism in rural southern Quebec. Adventism developed rapidly in the Eastern Townships after 1850, reaching a high of some 4,200 believers by 1881. There were three Adventist denominations in the Townships, each with separate churches, but by 1920 all the churches had been disbanded.
