| Abstract |
Morenz (1902-1937) joined the Montreal Canadiens in 1923, and soon became a popular idol in Montreal and across Canada for his hockey-playing abilities. He died as a result of injuries suffered in a game on January 28, 1937. In his professional career, Morenz scored 270 goals and 467 points in fourteen seasons.
