2018 Survey of Jews in Canada: Executive Summary
|
Abstract |
The 2018 Survey of Jews in Canada focuses on what it means to be Jewish in Canada today—specifically, patterns of Jewish practice, upbringing, and intermarriage; perceptions of antisemitism; attitudes toward Israel; and personal and organizational connections. Modelled on the 2013 Pew Survey of American Jews, the survey consists of 2,335 interviews conducted in metropolitan Montreal, Toronto, Winnipeg and Vancouver, Canada’s four largest Jewish communities, comprising about 82 percent of Canada’s Jewish population.
