Towards a View of Canadian Letters: Selected Critical Essays 1928-1971
|
| Abstract |
A selection of Montreal poet A.J.M. Smith's (19002-1980) essays on various aspects of Canadian literature, mainly poetry, published previously in various journals or written as introductions to anthologies. The author and Frank Scott (1899-1985) were members of the "Montreal Group" of poets who helped instigate the Modernist approach to literature in Canada, beginning in the 1920s.
