Includes a brief history of Quebec City’s Jewish community, the third largest Jewish community Canada in the nineteenth century after Montreal and Toronto. The first Jews settled in Quebec City after the Conquest, and the first synagogue was constructed in the 1850s. The community persisted until after the Second World War.
