The Seeds : The Life Story of a Matriarch
|
Abstract |
The author, the daughter of Edward Arthur Griffith and Lucy Armstrong, was born in 1888 in Melbourne, Australia. She married Alphonse Arthur Paré, a mining engineer, in 1913 in Collie, Australia. They immigrated to Quebec where they raised nine children. In commemoration of the author's and her husband's dedication to education, the Montreal-based Alphonse and Lucy Griffith Paré Foundation was established in 1984 by their children to support schools and families in Canada and abroad. This memoir includes a genealogical information on the Paré, Griffith, Graham, Howlett, Macartney and Timmins families.
