Title
Rural School Transportation as a Daily Constraint in Students' Lives
Abstract
The author examines how busing time to school affected daily activities in sixty-four rural households whose children attended the Eastern Townships School Board schools. The author found that household schedules altered according to distance from school, constraints on students' and families' activities increased as travel time increased, travel time was viewed as wasted time, and farm households were more constrained than nonfarm households.
