Examining Our Histories Within Quebec and Canada: A Proposal to Increase the Minority Experience in the Grade 10 History Curriculum
|
Abstract |
An examination of the grade 10 history curriculum, and a proposal that it should be more inclusive of other cultures. The author argues that an expanded curriculum beyond the history of the dominant cultures would enable the "others" to see themselves in the curriculum. The author refers to her proposed expanded curriculum as the "missing pages" in the history of Quebec and Canada.
