Montréal, « à-langue-que- veux-tu » : entrevue avec Charles Castonguay

Abstract |
Demographer Charles Castonguay calls for a strengthening of the Charter of the French Language (Bill 101) by reinvigorating and reinstating certain aspects of the Charter that were eliminated as a result of court judgments, which he believes Anglophones will accept. Because of Anglophones' acceptance of the dominance of the French language, Castonguay thinks it may be time to allow some more visibility of English on public signs. He also gives his opinion on the types of immigrants who should be allowed to settle in Quebec.
