The Role of the Quebec English School Boards Association in the Context of Diversity and Critical Issues in Education
|
Abstract |
The author examines the issue of ethnic, racial and religious diversity in Quebec, and how the Quebec English School Boards Association (QESBA) approaches this issue. The QESBA represents nine member English language school boards in the province, serving some 110,000 students in 350 elementary, high schools and adult centres across Quebec. The author points out that a defining characteristic of the QESBA's school network is its recognition and advancement of cultural, racial and religious diversity.
