Abstract |
Includes a biography of Henry Blackstone, the Comptroller of the custom house at St. John's (Saint Jean sur Richelieu) in the early nineteenth century, and later sheriff of the District of Trois-Rivières and coroner of the District of Quebec. He was the son of Sir William Blackstone, a well-known English jurist and author of "Blackstones Commentaries on the Law."
