Abstract |
In the quarter century following publication of this report, the author predicts a demographic decline of Francophones in Quebec. The Anglophone population during this period, he predicts, will continue its decline that began in the 1970s, although in the Montreal region the population may increase slightly. Only Allophones, he predicts, will show a demographic increase, especially in Montreal region where their share of the population could double (from 10 percent in 1991 to 20 percent in 2021) or even triple.
