Abstract |
Rabbi Yehuda Yudel Rosenberg (1859-1935) immigrated to Toronto from Eastern Europe in 1913, and moved to Montreal in 1919 where he described himself as chief rabbi of the "United Hebrew Congregations of Montreal" in competition with Rabbi Hirsch Cohen (1860-1950), who also was seen as the city's chief rabbi.
