| Abstract |
The author explains that the creation of interior escape worlds was a major preoccupation in the poetry (circa 1970) of Leonard Cohen (1934-2016). He contends that a study of this preoccupation provides an insight to the world view and basic philosophy of Cohen and gives meaning to what on the surface appears to be an aimless wandering through life.
