Abstract
The genealogy of the Hope family in Quebec from the early nineteenth century. George Hope (1804-1884) immigrated from Gedborough, Scotland, and settled on a farm in Beechridge, near St-Rémi, Quebec. Around 1832 he married Susanne Francis (1810-1880) who had immigrated from Wexford, Ireland. George and Susanne Hope had eight children, one of whom died young. The author follows the family of their oldest son, William Hope (1840-1916).
