La grande déception : dialogue avec les exclus de l'indépendance
|
Abstract |
The publisher points out that the author has always been an independentist. In 2013, he opposed the Parti Québécois' Charter of Values but did not understand the devastating scope of this project. When he became aware of the deep wounds that this episode inflicted on people of diverse backgrounds, he realized the affront they had experienced. He then set out to better understand them by interviewing them. The publisher points out that from this dialogue emerged an observation: these people do not identify, or no longer identify, with the sovereignty project. The publisher notes that the book is a personal reflection tinged with hope, as well as a vibrant plea for a renewal of the sovereignist movement. The publisher describes the book as a true cry from the heart of independence, launched to all sovereignists who have not become aware of this reality by finally giving a voice to those who feel excluded from Quebec, and who have permanently distanced themselves from any commitment to sovereignty.
