Abstract |
An examination of French and English newspaper coverage of the Front de Libération du Québec (FLQ) Crisis of October 1970 to establish whether similar accounts of the crisis development were provided. The author's main findings pertain to the different norms and values reflected in the French and English press systems. English language newspapers in Montreal and Sherbrooke were included in the author's analysis.
