Abstract |
Alexander Buchanan (1798-1851) was a lawyer, judge and justice of the peace in early nineteenth-century Montreal. He was also a member of the city's St Paul's Lodge and of St Patrick's Society, and he helped found the Advocates' Library and Law Institute of Montreal in 1828.
