Changement d'empire : les mariages mixtes des nobles canadiennes durant le régime militaire (1759-1765)
|
Abstract |
Contrary to what other historians have stated or implied, the author points out that there were only eight "mixed" marriages between well-to-do Quebec women ("les filles nobles canadiennes") and British military officers between 1759 and 1764. The author lists the names of the eight women and the men whom they married.
