| Abstract |
Raymond Brown (1908-1965) was a right-handed pitcher, best known for the years he played in the U.S. Negro Leagues (1930-1948). In 2006, he was inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame. The author points out that the Coopertown's Hall of Honor commemorating Brown's singular accomplishments makes no mention of the four years he played in Quebec at the end of his career, first for the Sherbrooke Athletics (1950 and 1951) in the Class-C Provincial League, then the Thetford Mines Miners (1952) of the Quebec Senior League, and finally in 1953 for the Lachine Indians of the Laurentian League and back to the Thetford Mines Miners, now in the Provincial League.
