| Abstract |
The author provides empirical insights into the well-being of Quebec's English-speaking community at the individual level. He points out that recent policy developments (e.g., the school board reform) have prompted concerns among Anglophone stakeholders as to the strength of their institutional network, which seems to be weakening. By analyzing whether individuals engaged in community networks and organizations are more likely to be happy, the author hopes that his research may result in recommendations that could foster the well-being of members of Quebec’s English-speaking community and provide a way for decision-makers to address these concerns. The author concludes that the more individual members of the English-speaking community are offered opportunities to participate in their community, the more they will do so, and the more they will tend to be happy with their life in Quebec.
