Francis Alexander Carron Scrimger (1880-1937) was a surgeon at Royal Victoria Hospital in the 1930s, Surgeon-in-Chief of the Children’s Memorial Hospital in 1934, and Director of the Department of Surgery and Associate Professor of Surgery at McGill University in 1936. The author recounts his First World War service that included winning the Victoria Cross.
