Abstract |
The history of a Montreal cavalry troop dating back to the late eighteenth century when it was known as the Royal Montreal Cavalry. Includes accounts of the troop's participation in the War of 1812, the Rebellion of 1837, against the Fenian invasion, and in the First World War. In September 1958 the 6th Duke of Connaught's Royal Canadian Hussars and the 17th Duke of York's Royal Canadian Hussars, two Montreal regiments of cavalry, became the "Royal Canadian Hussars (Montreal)."
