Abstract |
The roots of the Women Associates of McGill can be traced back to the university's first women's graduate class (the Donaldas) in 1888. These eight women vowed to continue their intellectual fellowship and activism. As the number of members grew, the organization became the McGill Women's Union in 1914, and the Women Associates of McGill in 1933. Today, the organization is known as the McGill Women's Alumnae Association.
