Abstract |
On June 27, 1918, a British hospital ship, the Llandovery Castle, was sunk by a German submarine, claiming the lives of 234 people on board. Among those killed was Dr. William James Enright (1873-1918), born in Port Daniel, Gaspé. Enright is buried in the Sangatte Canadian military cemetery in Calais, France.
