|
Abstract |
The New Zealand-born author reflects on how she became a feminist family historian of Quebec. The main themes she addressed in her research during her years living in Canada between the 1970s and 2014 were nineteenth century industrialization, widowhood in nineteenth century Montreal, and issues of property, marriage and inheritance in the nineteenth century British Empire.
