| Abstract |
A history of the photographers of and photography in Brome, Missisquoi and Shefford counties of the Eastern Townships between the 1850s and the 1920s. The book was published as part of an exhibition put on by the Brome County Historical Society in 1988. The author gives a short biographies of thirteen predominately Anglophone photographers of the period, including Sally Elizabeth Wood (1857-1928) of Knowlton, Edwin M. Barber of Abercorn, E.B. Hodge of Waterloo, John Jackson of Cowansville, and Almas A. Knowlton (1822-1903) of Knowlton.
