Abstract |
Frank Oliver Call (1878-1956), a poet, painter and professor of Modern Languages at Bishop's University, was the centre of a very active literary movement in the Eastern Townships during the inter-war period. Call is considered a key transitional figure in the evolution of Canadian poetry between the Victorian-styled Confederation poets and the Modernist Movement poets.
