Abstract
A comparative analysis of the artistic careers of Montreal painters Prudence Heward (1896-1947) and Edwin Holgate (1892-1977). Both studied at the Art Association of Montreal under William Brymner (1855-1925). Heward was associated with the Montreal-based Beaver Hall Group, Holgate with the Toronto-based Group of Seven.
