Title |
Anti-Israeli Activity at Concordia University 2000-2003
|
Abstract |
From 2000-2003, Montreal's Concordia University was home to a very public and intense confrontation between pro-Israel and pro-Palestinian groups. The author tells the story of these years, focusing on two major points of tension: the violence surrounding Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu's planned campus visit in 2002, and the suspension of the campus Hillel that same year. The author discusses the background and context of these events from the pro-Israel perspective and their lasting impact on the university community.
