Title
The Contributions of Holocaust Survivors to Montreal Jewish Communal Life
Abstract
A study of the contributions Holocaust survivors made to Jewish communal life through the organizations they formed or resuscitated in Montreal. The activities of these organizations reflected prewar Eastern European Jewish communal life: mutual aid, social and cultural activities, burial provisions, philanthropic endeavors, support for Israel, and cooperation with other Jewish organizations.
