African-Canadian Career Excellence Undergraduate Survey 2011-2012
Abstract
This report provides the final data analysis and interpretation of the 2011-2012 undergraduate Black student survey on perceptions of transition to employment in Montreal. The survey consisted of 34 categorical and open-ended questions in an online format, accessible in English. Undergraduate university students of Black African descent from Concordia University, McGill University, Université du Québec à Montreal (UQAM), Université de Montréal, and the École du Barreau were targeted. The survey found that Black graduates find they have fewer opportunities than their peers in Quebec, leading them to seek and accept employment offers outside the province.
