Abstract |
Montreal's Victoria Bridge, completed in 1859, was officially inaugurated by Albert Edward, the eighteen year-old Prince of Wales (and future King Edward VII), on August 25, 1860. To commemorate the visit, the Canadian government presented the Prince with a portfolio of photographs taken by William Notman that included stereo photos of Victoria Bridge.
