| Abstract |
A study of the reaction of Sir George Williams University’s (now Concordia University’s) administration to the computer riot of 1969. On February 10, 1969, students from the Caribbean and their supporters set fire to the computers on the ninth floor of the University’s Hall Building following months of controversy and frustration over assertions that they suffered from unfair marking. Ninety-seven people were arrested. The author concentrates his study on the behaviour of the school’s administration, who were blindsided by the issue.
