Irish Life in Rural Quebec: A History of Frampton
|
| Abstract |
Frampton Township lies southeast of Quebec City, bordering the sides of the Etchemin River. Irish immigration to Frampton began in 1806, reaching a peak in the early 1830s. In 1844, the 1,662 residents of Frampton were almost exclusively Irish. Today, few English-speaking people live in the district.
