Abstract |
Although focussed primarily on Francophones, the author devotes twelve pages (226-237) to the presence of non-Francophones in the village of Saint-Eustache in the early nineteenth century. In 1831, there were twenty-five households "d'origine étrangère," according to the author, totalling 137 people out of the village of 832 residents.
