Abstract |
The Scottish-born Thomas Reid Peacock (1866-1937) studied and practiced architecture in Edinburgh and Glasgow before immigrating to Quebec City in 1906. The author points out that he worked mainly with the English-speaking community of Quebec City, designing administrative, sports, hospital, religious, commercial and residential buildings. The author describes seven buildings Peacock designed, including St. Peter's Anglican Chapel and the Douglas Pavilion of the Jeffery-Hale Hospital.
