Abstract |
Roots of rugby in the Chateauguay Valley date to 1960 when a group of people from Montreal bought a farm in Aubrey to house the St. Lawrence Rugger and Cricket Association that served as the home pitch for the Montreal Barbarians and the Montreal Wanderers. In 1972, the Ormstown Saracens Rugby club was founded by the Scottish-born Roderick (Rod) Beattie and the British-born David Hardy.
