Abstract |
The author examines the ways in which “threatening others”
(Indigenous Peoples, visible minorities, women) have been represented in Canadian literature. Chapter 2 of the dissertation is titled: "Ghosts and Urban Remains: The Montréal Novels of Leonard Cohen, Robert Majzels, and Régine Robin." Examined are Cohen's 1966 novel, Beautiful Losers, Majzels 1997 novel, City of Forgetting, and Robin's 1993 novel, La Québécoite.
