Abstract |
Alice Sharples Baldwin (1899-1987) authored several books, including Metis, Wee Scotland of the Gaspe (1960). The author, Alice Sharples Baldwin's great niece, wrote this short introduction to the 2002 re-issue of Metis, Wee Scotland of the Gaspe. Metis was a nineteenth-century summer retreat area, mostly for Anglophone Montrealers, in Bas-St-Laurent.
