Abstract
An account of the attempted impeachment, beginning in 1814, of Jonathan Sewall (1766-1839) and James Monk (1745 or 46-1826) by Lower Canada's Legislative Assembly, led by James Stuart (1780-1853), then leader of the Canadian party. The British Privy Council exonerated both Sewall and Monk.
