Abstract
The architectural study of the Palladian-style Bank of Montreal headquarters at 119 rue Saint-Jacques, Montreal, built between 1845 and 1847. The author compares the similarities of the headquarters with the building that houses the Commercial Bank of Scotland in Edinburgh. The author believes that the architect who designed the building was John Wells of Montreal.
