Title
Quebec Anti-Semitism and Anti-Semitism in Quebec
Abstract
The author argues that French Quebec has not come to a full societal resolution of the legacies of its attitudes towards Jews during the 1930s and 1940s. One example that he mentions is the reaction in English Canada towards Irving Abella and Harold Troper's book, None Is Too Many, compared to the reaction within French Quebec to Esther Delisle's 1992 Université Laval PhD dissertation, "Antisémitisme et nationalisme d'extrême-droite dans la province de Québec, 1929-1939." He claims that the reaction within English Canada was "mea culpa" while French Quebec intelligentsia demonized Delisle.
