Abstract
John Glassco (1909-1981) was a poet and writer, best known for the book, Memoirs of Montparnasse, his autobiographical account of the years he spent in Paris (1928-1932). This article outlines the influence that the Eastern Townships had on his poetry, including his best know published work of poetry, The Deficit Made Flesh (1958).
