Abstract |
According to the author, the first "true" journalistic chronicler of Quebec's Legislative Assembly following Confederation was William Leslie Thom, who worked for the Quebec Morning Chronicle. Another nineteenth century English-speaking reporter of noted repute who covered the Quebec Parliament was Edward Thomas Davies Chambers, who supplied copy to the Quebec Morning Chronicle, the Montreal Star, and the Toronto World from 1876 to 1909.
